umbrella

I think the simple design for this one was sort of inspired by reading Edward Gorey. Sure, it's not obvious or anything, but... I loved his illustration style, his stories, and... his dark sense of writing / illustrating and his humor. Somehow, that's how the idea for this umbrella came up, also the fact at how umbrellas "sort of" remind you of bats sometimes... (or maybe it's just me)...

Another influence for this design, I'd say, is The Police's "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" where at the end of the tune he sings "it's a big enough umbrella, but it's always me that ends up... getting wet"...
